Technical Specifications
- Pipe Work: Laying of RCP pipes from DN225 to DN1500.
- Excavation: Specialized deep trenching up to 4.5 meters deep.
- Civil: Construction of new stormwater pits and modification of live pits.
- Environmental: Strict sediment and erosion control in an urban catchment.
Work Description & Methodology
Operating at 4.5 meters deep required complex shoring and service protection. SNG’s methodology involved non-destructive service location (potholing) followed by the precision laying of DN1500 pipes. A critical technical challenge was the modification of and connection to existing live stormwater pits, managed without disrupting local drainage. The project was delivered with a focus on stakeholder communication and site safety.
