    Common Questions Answered

    Frequently Asked Questions

What size pipelines does SNG Engineering install for urban utility networks?

We possess the logistical and technical capacity to install large-bore utility pipelines for water, sewer, and stormwater mains. This includes large-diameter mains up to and exceeding 960mm, as demonstrated in our Pacific Highway SCL pipeline project. All installations strictly adhere to AS 4799 for underground utility placement and AS 4129 for high-performance polyethylene (PE) fittings.

Yes. Every civil project is governed by our integrated management system, certified to ISO 9001:2015ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018. This ensures full compliance with the quality, environmental, and safety frameworks required by local government and transport authorities across Australia, specifically New South Wales and Queensland.

Live tapping is a specialized engineering technique that allows us to connect new infrastructure to pressurized, active water mains without shutting down the service. It is used in urban upgrades to maintain continuous water supply for residents and businesses while critical network expansions are underway.

Our road rehabilitation services cover the full construction spectrum, including full-depth pavement builds, asphalt surfacing, kerb and gutter installation (AS 2876), and road realignment to improve traffic flow and safety standards. These services are delivered for local councils, transport authorities, and tier-1 contractors managing network upgrades across urban and regional corridors.

All road and pavement projects are executed according to the Austroads Guide to Road DesignAS 3600 for structural concrete, and AS 2876 for precast concrete kerbs and channelsas well as relevant state road authority specifications such as those issued by Transport for NSW and the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads

Yes. We design and construct high-durability carparks and commercial paving solutions specifically engineered for the high traffic loads and environmental stressors of industrial and commercial sites. Our carpark construction includes full subbase preparation, reinforced concrete or asphalt surfaces, drainage integration, and line marking, compliant with AS 2890.1 (Off-Street Car Parking) for layout and design.

We build reinforced concrete, brick, and engineered earth-retaining structures designed for long-term soil stabilization and facility boundary management. All retaining walls are constructed in compliance with AS 4678, including structures for cut-and-fill earthworks, basement perimeters, and slope stabilization in varied terrain.

Yes. SNG Engineering partners with local councils to deliver community assets including multipurpose sports courts, community walkways, public footpaths, and other recreational amenities built to last. All recreational infrastructure is constructed to withstand high public use, with appropriate surface treatments, drainage, and fencing compliant with relevant Australian Standards.

We follow the AS 4361.1 guidelines for the conservation of historic buildings. Our process involves working closely with regulatory bodies to implement adaptive reuse strategies that preserve architectural integrity while meeting modern safety and longevity requirements. This includes structural stabilisation of existing fabric, material-matched repairs, and documentation submitted to heritage authorities for sign-off at each project milestone.
